Why Would Any Self-Respecting Black Person Vote for the McCain/ Palin Ticket? Here's Why...

Well, I have written about this in some form or another 20 times in this month alone, but I think my friend Zo (well, I don't know him personally but if I did he'd be my friend) articulates this masterfully so please watch. It's a bit lengthy but thoroughly entertaining and provocative(at least listen to the 1st 3 mins):

What? I told you I was his new fangirl!

Is Biblical Faith Allowed In The Public Square of Ideas?

Those who know me well are familiar with my love of Christian Apologetics and my loathing (ok, strong word) rather extreme disdain for secular humanists or the "new village atheists".
What's so dangerous about these folks is that they now call themselves Christians yet they routinely marginalize the bible.

In his “Call to Renewal” keynote address to religious leaders, Barack Obama asks, “Which passages of Scripture should guide our public policy? Should we go with Leviticus, which suggests slavery is okay and that eating shellfish is an abomination? Or we could go with
Deuteronomy which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith." What a gross mischaracterzation and marginalization of scripture!!! No, I am not saying that Barack is an athiest but what I am saying is that he is clearly an "anti-theist" because of these marginalizations. And guess what, the audience made up of religious leaders applauded!!! What!!!! How were they not offended? If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, how are you not offended? Because indeed nowhere does the Bible suggest that slavery is okay. Nor does the Bible suggest stoning your child should he stray from the faith.

Let me break it down -- The bible does not promote slavery as Mr. Obama, Oprah Winfrey and Whoopie Goldberg suggest rather the bible denounces slavery as sin and places slave traders in the same category as adulterers, perverts, and liars (1 Timothy 1:10). Slavery within the Old Testament context was sanctioned due to economic realities rather than racial or sexual
prejudices. Because bankruptcy laws did not exist, people would voluntarily sell themselves into slavery. A craftsman could thus use his skills in servitude to discharge a debt. Even a convicted thief could make restitution by serving as a slave (Exodus 22:3). The bible merely recognized the reality of slavery but it does not promote slavery and it's moronic to even suggest that it does. Truth be told it was the biblical principles that led to the abolition of slavery in both ancient Israel and the United States.

My "2 Chronicle 7:14" post was crossed-posted on another blog and I was chided for even having a biblical perspective as if biblical faith is neither relevent or rational. Ken Blackwell, a noted columnists and scholar writes "Influential English writer and Catholic apologist G.K. Chesterton once opined that Religious liberty is supposed to mean that everybody is free to discuss religion. But in practice, it means that hardly anybody is allowed to mention it. " He further states that "the term secular as a word invented by Christians to describe, at the same time a barrier against secular totalitarian governments and a barrier against church officials controlling government. The term in is rooted in, Give to Caesar what is Caesars, and to God what is Gods. This sort of separation in defense of religious liberty is quite different from modern secularists who seek to keep the public square religion-free" What my critics fail to acknowlege is that Christians have a right--no we have a duty to walk circumspectly through this world as ambassadors of Christ and our faith is supposed to inform every opinion, thought, word and deed. See, too many "anti-theists" dressed in Christian clothing seek the hand of God and not the face of God which is why they can't be so bothered to learn his Word and the essential doctrines of their faith. No, they just want to annoint the new car or house with oil and walk around it 7 times, catch the Holy Ghost, speak in tongues and get slain in the Spirit-- They want a "cosmic genie", a "cosmic Dr. Feel-good" They don't want a Lord.

Why Haven't I Seen This on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC or CBS?

YouTube is my friend because ordinary citizens will post items that the mainstream media never will. Look what I found:

or this,

57 states with one left to go....yeah, he is brilliant.

Why is it that Sarah Palin's abysmal interview with Katie Couric was aired ad nauseum in the mainstream yet these two clips have never been shown? Curious isn't it? Will this not give the Obama acolytes and Palin haters pause to consider that perhaps he isn't the Messiah and she isn't a stupid trailer trash bimbo. Maybe they are both just very overworked politicians who fumble occasionally under pressure and that maybe just maybe the media isn't playing fair as Sen. Obama is clearly their sweetheart.

Angela's Discourse.....A true Berean!!!

I ran across Angela on Attorneymom's blog which is one of my favorites. But Angela was expressing her discontentment with the blog of late, she writes:

"I've grown extremely disheartened reading CC as it was a bastion of
Christian thought, but now the blog is descending into the same rhetoric I can
hear everywhere else. Where is the Holy Spirit and the spirit of discernment?
Moreover, where is the faith? How can you support Obama when his platform is the
complete antithesis to what God stands for? How can you be so blind as to not
realize Obama and the political machine pulling his strings hope to take America
down the Socialist path of Europe? Socialism is the complete enemy of
Christianity. Not only because of the issues, but Socialism is anti-religion
. "

Attorneymom promptly and humbly responds with by stating that Angela is correct. Well, then it got really interesting as most of the responders who I am assuming are christian because they are regulars to the blog and CC is primary a christian blog unloosed the fires of hell on poor Angela. Here is a sampling of the discourse:

Responder #1

I'm sorry but I think this is a bunch of crap.

If you believe Obama is the answer to the country's "ills" not only are
you forgetting what happened to the Israelites in the Old Testament (when they
were blessed and fat, full of wealth, they forgot about God, and then he
withdrew from them because of their disobedience and idolatry), Really?? AND who
in God's name are you suggesting is the answer to the country's "ills"??
McCain??What foolishness. Because he chooses to pimp Jesus in order to lure
voters. You can claim to follow and believe in the Christian doctrine but your
actions are what I'm interested in. The current Bush administration used the
Christianity ploy also....and their stay in the White House surely hasn't been
"very nice for Christians in America" either .Lastly, what us Christians need to
realize is that we cannot dictate God's principals to people. NEVER did Christ
force anyone to come to him. NEVER. Let your light so shine before men, that
they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. For
God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world
through him might be saved. John3:17(sorry for the long response AM :)
September 26, 2008 8:41 AM

To which Angela responded:

I don't believe I said McCain was the answer
either. I just want people to wake up from their slumber to realize we are in a
really scary time, what with this push for Populism, a Socialist America and for
a Global Government. Both sides of the political fence are being paid and
commanded by the same puppet-masters, but Obama-mania is one of the most
frightening aspects of this race I have ever seen.Christians--true
Christian--need to pray for wisdom and discernment to wade through these dark
times regardless of who is in office. Try reading the blogs of independent
Christians like
Jesus Christology and Independent Conservative for politics, The Writing on the Wall and Gay Christian Movement Watch. These are the issues affecting Christians, and most importantly, the issues affecting black Christians who are blinded by their malignant bitterness and hatred towards white people, and/or blinded by the bling.
September 26,
2008 9:03 AM

Then she says:

I needed to respond to this because--forgive me if I'm
misinterpreting your statement--is basically a call to do nothing. We need to be
on our knees, fasting, praying, repenting, standing in the gap, atoning,
pleading, revering, and fearing the Lord to lead us through these troubled
times. Letting that light shine isn't enough when millions of Americans are
under the leadership of false prophets/profits! Also, how can someone have light
inside of them when they are holding onto sin and unforgiveness? You are
basically extinguishing yourself before you even step out of the door. We have
become a greedy, idolatrous, slothful, sinful, ungrateful lying nation. The
lights are slowly being extinguished the longer the so-called "Christian
leaders" are selling out to the world left and right, and their flock are
falling with them. And this will continue to happen because no one is speaking
out against this fraud being perpetrating against Jesus because everyone is so
worried about being accepted by the world: what do I look like? how much money
do I have? what car do I drive? And so on, and so on!I am the last to say I am
the most holy perfect Christian on the planet, but the Lord has set me afire for
slicing through these lies being promulgated by the media and the pulpit pimps
and their wannabes that has lulled Christians to sleep. And I feel especially on
fire to shake my people awake from the centuries-old lethargy that has kept them
from seeing God for who he truly is. There is a grave need for people to be
Christian before any other label tagged on a person, and for blacks, the
stumbling block is our history in this country. But rarely do blacks allow God
to heal their wounds and bind their broken hearts--and these pulpit pimps do not
want to preach the true gospel because keeping blacks under the mass delusions
keeps black people ignorant and lacking in discernment and keeps the pockets of
those pimps FAT (The most horrible incident of this phenomena? Creflo Dollar
disputing the Trinity and the congregation not saying a mumblin word). The basic
Democratic platform is to infantile the poor (particularly blacks) with
paternalistic programs that cripple and contain and ultimately keep the poor um,
poor. Now that I'm typing, I'm looking at the period in my life when my family
was briefly caught in the endless cycle of poor Americans: food stamps and
pay-day loans. Now I see why God allowed us to stumble for a moment: so that
when we rose from the situation and never looked back, we could say that it was
He who rescued us from that situation, that when we turned our eyes to Him, He
provided for our needs. The first six months of this year we were broke, as my
mother quit her stressful job, and we lived off my student aid, money borrowed
from my grandmother (who borrowed from the bank), and my mother's 401K. But we
made it to the second half of the year and my mother finally, for the first time
in my life, has a job where she can make more money than salary and feels
challenged. Why? Not because of a program, but because we put our trust in God
and not man. God blessed my mother with a new car for her birthday last year,
and she told me God reminded her that she hadn't paid a cent of tithes--which
throws water in the face of the "sow a seed" Word of Faith doctrine so many
people are falling for. I realize I'm growing long-winded, but I would not be
standing here, seeking God with fear and trembling, if he hadn't snatched me out
of my endless cycle of bitterness and anger and constantly seeking man's
approval. Sure I have rough edges, but I can't sit back and allow others to
continue to walk in that path--especially when they have the answer right in
their face.

How eloquent is she!!!!! OMG, She encapsulated in one comment what I have been trying to convey in 30 posts. I don't think she tragic!!!!

She then gets more mud slug at her by "christians":

Oh boy. Here we go. You criticize attorneymom for supporting Obama, but you admit that McCain "may not be the answer." Since you apparently have the only red-phone-direct-line to God, why don't you tell us who to vote for?

attorneymom, please take back your statement accepting the criticism as being right. Don't believe the hype. Everybody beating you over the head with a Bible isn't necessarily representing the God of the Bible.

We have to live in this land and deal with the issues of this land. Voting is one of them. (Forgive me. I'm feeling disgusted right now. And here's why):

The Presidency isn't a religious platform. It should never be. We don't live in a Theocracy, and as one wisely stated... the nations with the most religious leaders also produce the most terrorists.

Bush ran on religion. He was our WORST NIGHTMARE. Here comes McCain and Palin. Wisdom tells me to not vote for 4 more years of Bushism.

I adamantly disagree with your criticism of attorneymom. I haven't visited in a while, but I'm glad I came today. Your criticism alone speaks volumes about the Christianity that you practice. I won't apologize for that statement.

I'm doing some research on the term "Christian Conservative" (a group to which Bush, McCain, and Palin below). The CC's are notorious for racism, hate, and widespread xenophobia. In fact, the history of the term overlaps a time when racist Whites left the Democratic party to join the Repugs because the Democrats were FIGHTING FOR THE CIVIL RIGHTS OF BLACKS.

I'm done here. I had to get that off my chest. I'm developing a very short fuse for folks (like Palin) who claim to speak for the Lord by criticizing folks who love and pray to THAT SAME LORD. I need to deal with that. :-P

Hi Attorney Mom First; "Angela" confuses socialism with Soviet style communism. Socialism has nothing to do with bashing God. If Angela is so against socialism she ought to be writing to her (Born Again) President and telling him not to give 700 billion dollars to Wall Street, that's socialism.

Second; as an attorney you know that Christians who believe homosexuality is wrong are not going to be jailed or fined. This is the same rhetoric that the Republicans used in the last election to energize the Christian evangelical base.

I love your blog, it continues to evolve and that is a reflection of who you are, as it should be. If Angela has a problem with your blog she might want to start her own or if she has one concentrate on that blog.

And isn’t there something in the bible speaking against busy bodies and meddlers? (Lol) Angela seems like a busy body to me.
September 26, 2008 11:30 AM

There were more dissenting and a few encouraging comments mine being among them (encouraging of course) but my girl Angela broke it down and almost made the Conservative Black Woman do the holy ghost dance (and, I ain't a shouter)when she wrote:

Hm...obviously the message is getting lost.

1) Blind adoration of Obama is dangerous to a Christian.

2) The Democratic platform supports homosexuality and abortion.

3) Obama and his team lean to the left to an alarming degree that will lead to America become a Socialist nation.

4) Black people are blindly supporting Obama because he is black, and this is a result of the bitterness over our history in this country. Blacks are so proud to see a black man as a viable Presidential candidate, they are not looking into his background.

5) Black Christians are blindly following Obama for reason #4--when the Bible clearly states be in the world but not of it, so if you're holding onto past wounds done to a nation, and living according to them, you're of the world--and ignoring #2.

6) Black Christians are blind spiritually because of #4 and the whole "doctrine" of the black church. Pulpit pimps have played off of this, rendering black Christians unwilling to look into their false doctrine and in the end, continuing to look to man (the President, or any other politician) for salvation/change on this earth.

7) It's troubling that you would suggest that Biden was out of line to propose legislation to protect homosexuals against hate crimes. I in no way agree with homosexuality. But are they not human beings? Are their sins greater than ours? Does God no longer love them?

The sort of thought that is allowing evil to infiltrate our church. The Bible says homosexuals are reprobates. It didn't ban Christians from ministering to them, but homosexuals not only want to force their lifestyle as a legitimate one, but a large group want to infiltrate the church and prove that it is possible to be gay and be Christian. And I stated why it is troubling: Christianity could become illegal and the Bible could be banned. I'm just shocked no one is not more troubled by this.

8) Your life issues may be something you need to deal with. And if you're so frustrated with the system, what are you doing to help? Are you running for any local office?

I'm an anthropologist who plans to go to law school and deal with the sensitive issues of law and race. My mother runs a non-profit helping the disadvantaged children in our community. If that's not taking personal steps forward, and not depending on the government (another pet peeve, as most Americans don't know how the system works to even change it), I don't know what is.

9) Unfortunately, the President's job isn't to be a prophet. It's a job, like all of us have, a 9 to 5.

Politics are politics but someone has to go who's the best candidate???

The Presidency is a position, and a theocracy is the furthest from my desires, but I certainly do not want the opposite: Socialism. If you willingly vote in someone who is opposite of God, go ahead, you have the freedom to make choices. God gives us that--but you will also be held accountable for your choices.

10) I believe I expressed concerns over Obama, not McCain nor any other Republican or Conservative. Raising a question about one side doesn't automatically mean agreement with the opposing side. I agree the Republicans have entwined themselves tightly with Christianity. I agree they are as false as Democrats who hug tight to church when it's time to get elected. But this is about Obama and the blind adoration of his personality cult by blacks, and how troubling it is as a Christian who is black.

11) Your criticism alone speaks volumes about the Christianity that you practice. What sort is that? I'm curious. Nothing in my statements have supported Bush, McCain/Palin, or a theocracy. I merely spoke up to comment on the sharp veer Character Corner, which I have been following for a year, has taken on the Obama-mania bandwagon. I can get this sort of talk at the dozens of black political blogs, and while I certainly don't think attorneymom has no right to speak about politics, however, the ratio between discussion of the walk with Christ became and discussion of politics skewed heavily to the latter. America is no theocracy, but when certain issues align themselves with God, it is best to approach politics with wisdom and discernment.

12) And regarding the Dems and the Civil Rights Movement--ever heard of Everett Dirksen or Thomas Kuchel? Did you know about the struggle to pass Civil Rights Laws the Republicans under Eisenhower attempted to pass? Or that without the work of Dirksen and Kuchel, the CRA wouldn't have gotten past the Southern Democrats? Did you know that the only reason JFK supported the Act was because it was time, but mainly because his arch-enemies, the USSR put America on blast for its treatment of blacks? JFK couldn't demonize the Soviets if his own country practiced "purges" on their own citizens.

13) One last thought. If you are unconvinced about the path America could take, go find blogs and articles written by Christians in Socialist countries such as the UK and Brazil. In closing, I had to speak out as a sister in Christ, I admire you and your blog, and your posts have supplemented my deepening walk with God.
September 26, 2008 11:25 AM
Then she closed out with this:

Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11

Just A Thought.....

The media is hyping that the notion that if Barack Obama is not elected it is because of the pervasive racism in America. This prompted me to do a bit of self-examination because before I decided to vote intelligently I was going to vote for Barack Obama solely because he is black and I didn't want to be on the wrong side of history -- I called it tribalism.

Let's face it 90% or more black people are voting for Barack Obama!!!! I wouldn't say it's solely because he is black because we are under the false assumption that Republicans are evil and we need change.

The point is we are quick to cry racism because we falsely believe that white Americans can't bring themselves to elect a black man but we call it tribalism when we vote for a candidate without regard to his position on key issues that effect our lives just because he is a black man. So the question becomes is Barack Obama going to be a victim of racism (if he loses) or is he going to cash in on tribalism(if he wins)? My "Aha" moment was the realization that tribalism= racism

So, to borrow a phrase from my pastor Lon Solomon .... "Not a sermon, just a thought"

2 Chronicles 7:14

"If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

A fellow blogger who shall remain nameless but whom I never the less admire and respect suggests there is no place in politics for religiosity. Well perhaps for him it's unimportant but as for me it isn't about religion its about who I am in Christ. It's a matter of faith. While I am no saint and certainly not where I'd like to be in the sanctification process,I can no more separate my faith from my politics than I can separate the marrow from my bones.

On November 4th God's sovereign will will be done whether I like it or not. But I am called to humble myself, pray, seek His face and turn from my wicked ways then, He will hear and heal our land. If you are reading this and you are an imperfect yet sincere follower of Jesus Christ-- let's do what we are called to do as Christ's ambassadors on earth.

The "O" Team....

A bit of comic relief from our friend at I know it's a little silly but so am I. Besides this is such a creative presentation of the lies we are fed by the Dem's and mainstream media.

Ladies and gentleman may I present -- "The O Team".....

If you don't get it; you just don't get it. I'm done posting on this topic for a while. I may have purged it from my system as long as I stop engaging in debates with devotees of the democratic party.

"Liberal Democrats are Racist"

I found this clip on Youtube and after some research and in the interest of full disclosure, I regret to inform you the artist who laid the track is regrettably not a "Hip-Hop" Republican and was paid a pitifully small amount to make this recording.

But, none the less, there is much truth in these lyrics which I have included in this post. Here goes:

90% of all blacks vote Democrat - why? Most of us say we won't vote Republican before that day - we'll die. By telling them we're theirs to keep - not right.

We're allowing them to own us cheap - Dem light.
What you say, what you say? Liberal Democrats are racist- what you say, what you say? Liberal Democrats are racist- what you say, what you say? Liberal Democrats are racist- what you say, what you say? Liberal Democrats are racist.

With their laws and their lies, the re-enslave us.Living in the inner city and riding the bus is the Liberal Democrat's vision for us, a Liberal party you can't trust Our Black Founding Fathers played a part too, white's gave them guns to free me and you We won and took our guns, 200 years pass, they've got gun control again on our ass, With violent criminals and cops who can't defend, gotta protect our people, with gun control, freedom ends.Oppose school vouchers to strengthen their hold, this left wing agenda leaves us out in the cold

Liberal Democrats and teachers bound at the hip, this liberal control of education makes our minds sick. School vouchers will give us a choice and let us decide on how to educate our kids where the opportunity lies. They oppose school vouchers to ensure their own power, they fear educated blacks who will be smarter by the hour. Hillary and Bill said public schools are good enough for us but sent Chelsea to private school so she could be her best. Politicians and hypocrites they must be, social elitists we've exposed them, and now we all see Liberal Democrats step aside and let us be great, let us decide our own fate.

Liberal Democrat Senator Robert Byrd, former Klansman this has got to be heard with crocodile tears he says he's sorry, it's just another lie, it's just another story. They want us to believe that Byrd is the first, but we know better, FDR was the worst. He appointed a Klansman to the US Supreme Court Bench, another hooded Democrat- can't stand the stench!!!Southern Democrats bonded with the Klan cuz for the black man, they had their own plan. The truth that's got me thinkin and it's gotten all freakin, the Republican who freed us was Abraham Lincoln. Liberal Democrats, who need our vote, listen up, we've voiced our opinion but that's not enough. You're in Kosovo and not Rwanda or Sudan, your taxes hold back the successful black man. Stop trapping us in by preventing Urban Sprawl, had enough of your control had enough of you all. More cops and cameras you say are good, but it only takes away more freedom from the hood. You can't re-enslave us, we are too strong, we know what you're doing, and we know that it's wrong. Stop stealing our rights and stop interfering, this is our last warning, don't be hard of hearing.

A Response to STUPID Obama VS.Palin Emails

I received this simple-azz email this morning:

Hey, I'm a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight.....
If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you're "exotic, different"
BUT if you grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, a quintessential American
story. If your name is Barack you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim BUT if you
name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you're a maverick.
If you graduate from Harvard law School you are unstable BUT if you attend 5 different small
colleges before graduating, you're well grounded. If you spend 3 years as a
brilliant community organizer, become the first black ck President of the
Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new
voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a
State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman
of the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the
United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring
131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and
Veteran's Affairs committees, you don't have any real leadership experience BUT
if your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6
years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as the
governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you're qualified to become
the country's second highest ranking executive.
If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a real Christian BUT if you cheated on your
first wife with a rich heiress, and left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you're a Christian. If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society BUT if while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in your state's school
system while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant , you're very
responsible. If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position
in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city
community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family's values don't
represent America's BUT if&nb sp;your husband is nicknamed "First Dude",
with at least one DWI conviction and no college education, who didn't register
to vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the
secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.
OK, it's all much clearer now.

This was my response:

I hadn't seen this one but many like it. Here is the thing.... We live in a racist country, duh!!!! I'm not defending Sarah Palin or McCain but I can say that while I applaud Barack Obama for his many many accomplishments and his sheer brilliance he is not the innocent, mistreated, misunderstood victim. He has some really questionable ties to some very seedy people. He does advocate teaching sex education to kindergartener(sp ?) in schools if you don't believe me check this out or this one so now I need some's not ok for our kids to have prayer in schools but it is ok to talk about "age appropriate" sex.... NOT!!!! Also, I don't think he is a muslim but you can't convince me that his theology is tight because:

A) He sat in Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years

B) In 2006 he posed the question...Whose Christianity would we teach that of Dr. James Dobson or Al Sharpton? If you don't believe he said it check this out:
C) Lastly, determining whether or not life begins at conception is "above his pay grade"
It's easy to send around these little emails highlighting the racial crap but it's so much deeper than that. The enemy of our souls want us to be bogged down in this racial shit because it take our focus off of the issues that really have power to hurt us! In fact, I posted an interesting blog on yesterday about the housing debacle and roles that both McCain and Barack played--read it and you will be surprised. I sometimes wonder if substance is even relevent in this age. I know you are busy but hey we have the internet now and can research anything in the world. Spend some time finding out the facts about your boy and then consider what you find in light of scripture.
I now feel compelled to add this tidbit...Ya'll democratic plantation Negroes are doing exactly what they want you to do by focusing on race. See race is the way that they keep you tied to their party and garner your votes. Ya'll need to pay closer attention to the real issues because I doubt that race relations are going to get much better in your lifetime. Don't you have your 40 Acres and a mule!!!! And if you don't good luck waiting for your democratic reps on the hill to give it to you. Damn... get informed!!!!!!!!!!

A look at How Closely Barack Obama is tied to the Housing Crisis...

I have tried not to participate the bashing and finger pointing that's going on between the Dems and Repubs. The Dems are screaming about Bush being in bed with Bin Ladin for oil and 911 being an inside job, last night the liberal talk show hosts were screaming that the repubs are intending to "steal the election" again. I don't believe that 911 was an inside job nor do I believe that the election was stolen in 2000. What the Barack Obama acolytes would be shocked to know and will probably never know since he is the media darling and mainstream media rarely reports any of his dirt is that his hands are not clean where this housing crisis is concerned and John McCain predicted that this would happen during a 2006 speech on the Senate floor. Check this out:

Let me reiterate......

"Simply put Barack Obama and his party allies own the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac big government failure. McCain and the republicans tried to stop this from happening. This is just another example of what big government and the democrats will give you and the accountability that the republicans demand. Failing to see the difference will cost YOU" -- Amanda Carpenter

Thursday, September 11, 2008

Well I have been wrestling with my conscience lately..... I said early on that Barack Obama was just too liberal for me and I found his stance on late term abortion and partial birth abortion abominable. Yet, the tribal part of myself would like to see a person that looks like me (black person) in the White House. But, after much prayer I have concluded that that "tribal" reasoning is not pleasing to God. So I've decided that I'm going to vote as if the Lord Jesus Christ himself were in the voting booth with me (actually he will be) and I admonish all professed followers of Christ to do the same. Then, I ran across this brother..... check out his video...

He is an unapologetic conservative christian and I'm his new fan girl. I have included his blog on my blogroll... but in case you don't want to search its

Thomas Sowell on "Foreign Policy Experience"

It is really not my intention to become a Sarah Palin defender or advocate but the collective retardation I am hearing from people desperate to see Obama in the White House is overwhelming. Now I want to see the him win too (that tribal part of myself). But what I'm hearing on black radio stations is lunacy. It is becoming increasing clear that we (no ya'll) need to just stop talking and starting reading and thinking. I came across this article written by Thomas Sowell (the most brilliant economist, thinker, author of this century) and I have to share and I hope that maybe just maybe someone will think this thing through instead of ranting about how inexperienced Sen. Palin is.

Now that the Democrats have recovered from the shock of Governor Sarah Palin's nomination as the Republican's candidate for vice president, they have suddenly discovered that her lack of experience in general-- and foreign policy experience in particular-- is a terrible danger in someone just a heartbeat away from being President of the United States.

For those who are satisfied with talking points, there is no need to go any further. But, for those who still consider substance relevant, this is an incredible argument coming from those whose presidential candidate has even less experience in public office than Sarah Palin, and none in foreign policy.

Moreover, if Senator Barack Obama is elected, he will not be a heartbeat away from the presidency, his would be the heartbeat of the president-- and he would be the one making foreign policy. But the big talking point is that the Democrats' vice-presidential nominee, Senator Joe Biden, has years of foreign policy experience as a member, and now chairman, of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. That all depends on what the definition of "experience" is.

Before getting into that, however, a plain fact should be noted:
No governor ever had foreign policy experience before becoming president-- not Ronald Reagan, not Franklin D. Roosevelt, nor any other governor. It is hard to know how many people could possibly have had foreign policy experience before reaching the White House besides a Secretary of State or a Secretary of Defense.

The last Secretary of War (the old title of Secretaries of Defense) to later become President of the United States was William Howard Taft, a hundred years ago. The last Secretary of State to become President of the United States was James Buchanan, a century and a half ago.

The first President Bush had been head of the C.I.A., which certainly gave him a lot of knowledge of what was happening around the world, though still not experience in making the country's foreign policy.

Senator Joe Biden's years of service on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee is even further removed from foreign policy experience. He
has had a front-row seat as an observer of foreign policy. But Senator Biden has never had any real experience of making foreign policy and taking the consequences of the results.

The difference between being a spectator and being a participant, with responsibility for the consequences of what you say and do, is fundamental.

You can read books about crime or attend lectures by criminologists, but you have no real experience or expertise about crime unless you have been a criminal or a policeman.
Although I served in the Marine Corps, I have no military experience in any meaningful sense. The closest I ever came to combat was being assigned to photograph the maneuvers of the Second Marine Division at Camp Lejeune, N.C. That was photographic experience, not military experience. If someone gave me a policy-making job in the Pentagon, I wouldn't have a clue.

The fact that Senator Joe Biden has for years listened to all sorts of people testify on all sorts of foreign policy issues tells us nothing about how well he understood the issues.
Out of the four presidential and vice-presidential candidates this year, only Governor Palin has had to make executive decisions and live with the consequences.

As for Senator Obama, his various pronouncements on foreign policy have been as immature as they have been presumptuous. He talked publicly about taking military action against Pakistan, one of our few Islamic allies and a nation with nuclear weapons. Barack Obama's first response to the Russian invasion of Georgia was to urge "all sides" to negotiate a cease-fire and take their issues to the United Nations. That is standard liberal talk, which even Obama had second thoughts about, after Senator John McCain gave a more grown-up response.

We should all have second thoughts about what is, and is not, foreign policy "experience." "

Experience... Sarah Palin Vs. Barack Obama

It is not a winning proposition to attack Sarah Palin's experience and it will not serve Barack Obama well if his supporters continue to follow that line. Listen as Newt Gingrich obliterates MSNBC's Ron Allen:

Like it or not her record speaks for itself.
