Even More Hope-O-Crisy Revealed...

Remember the Sen. Obama's campaign ad accusing Sen. McCain of not supporting equal pay for equal work for women? Well guess who has a disparity in salaries between male and females staffers in favor of males? You guess it --Sen. Obama....

"The most recent statistics are for the half-year from Oct. 1, 2007 to March 31, 2008, excluding interns and focusing on full-time personnel. For someone who worked only until, say, last Feb. 29, extrapolating up to six months' service simplifies this analysis. Doubling these half-year figures illustrates how a year's worth of Senate employees' paychecks should look.
Based on these calculations, Obama's 28 male staffers divided among themselves total payroll expenditures of $1,523,120. Thus, Obama's average male employee earned $54,397.
Obama's 30 female employees split $1,354,580 among themselves, or $45,152, on average."

Whoa, that means that Obama's female staffers earn .83 for every $1.00 male staffers earn!

How does Sen. McCain stack up?

"McCain's 17 male staffers split $916,914, thus averaging $53,936. His 25 female employees divided $1,396,958 and averaged $55,878.
On average, according to these data, women in John McCain's office make $1.04 for every dollar a man makes. In fact, all other things being equal, a typical female staffer could earn 21 cents more per dollar paid to her male counterpart -- while adding $10,726 to her annual income -- by leaving Barack Obama's office and going to work for John McCain."Source

So Sen. McCain female staffers earn $1.04 for every $1.00 male staffers earn.

But none of this really matters to Obama acolytes who can't be bothered with the facts as it interferes with their "high". In-frikin-credible!!!!

It is really amazing how much mischief has been done with the M/F pay ratio.

Those pay ratios don't take into account time on the job (senior employees are generally paid more), work history (a worker who worked 25 straight years is going to earn more than one who worked 17 of the last 25 years), education, prior experience, etc.

Walter E Williams porved that black women (who tend to take less time off for child-rearing than white women) earn $1.08 to a white woman's $1.

He also proved that West Indian blacks in Queens, NY, earn, on average, more than their white neighbors in Queens.

Of course all that goes unreported, as it goes against the "disenfranchised" meme.

JMK~It astonishes me how unconcerned the general public is with knowing the facts. I can't ever remember anytime in history that people have been so mesmerized with a candidate. Nothing matters except having a black president. Who cares what his political ideology really is he gets a free pass to spew empty rhetoric and it goes unchallenged by his followers or msm.

The average pay for the female staffers should be higher than the male staffers, Palin has both a celebrity wardrobe stylist and a celebrity hairstylist. The hairstylist was paid more than the policy adviers.

There is an irony here in that no sooner did you post that, than an anonymous Leftist posts, to prove your point!

"Palin has both a celebrity wardrobe stylist and a celebrity hairstylist. The hairstylist was paid more than the policy adviers." (anon)

According to recent news reports, "Obama's average male employee earned $54,397, while Obama's 30 female employees...(earned) $45,152, on average.

"By contrast, female employees of Sen. John McCain fare much better. They actually average more in salary, $55,878, than their male counterparts. Women in McCain's Senate office make $1.04 for every dollar men take home."

How much of that is due to the fact that, "...the McCain campaign paid Sarah Palin's makeup artist (Amy Strozzi) $22,800 for the first two weeks of October, making her the individual who received the most from the campaign over that period," is really unclear.

It's doubtful that it's the ONLY reason for the disparity in McCain's staff. More likely, he and Palin have more women in more senior positions on their staff.

Regardless, NONE of that explains why Obama's staff pay is so skewed!

A better than $9,000/year pay gap between male and female staffers for "pro-woman" Obama?

I don't think even anonymous could make sense of that. In fact, I'm virtually certain anonyous can't.
