If You Are Still Not Convinced That Obama Lies Then You Are Terminally Stupid

This man will stop at nothing including making himself look like a complete imbecile to peddle this damnable Healthcare bill. I wonder now if Obama supporters are now pursuaded that this man really thinks they are stupid? If you are still an Obama supporter after running these numbers then this is the one thing he is right about.

Simple math folks:

It an employer pays 10,000 premium and gets a 3000% discount then said employer would receive a refund of  $290,000!!!!!

Why would he say that? Isn't he supposed to be a genius? Could he have meant 300% but even if he did that would be just as preposterous. A 100% discount would make it free! The only logical conclusion one could draw from this debacle is that the Salesman in Chief is desperate to pass this bill.  Why?

CBW, have you seen these blogsites before? Both by the same fellow in Australia. Awesome information resources. Great RSS feeds to follow daily! The first one has a good commentary on the same Obama speech.

Thank you Jonathan. I was not familiar with either of these sites.

It's just as Nancy Pelosi said, we must pass the bill to see what is in it :O

Other politicians have done the Freudian slip thing. I always appreciate it.

As usual, CBW, you're awesome!

When i called the doc, he said come right in. It took only about an hour but in the end, after being checked over very thoroughly, i was told everything looked great and i had nothing to worry about. My dog was going to be fine.

I paid up front and scheduled a check-up for six months on.

There's a world of doctors that want to work and get paid for it. The same as i would like to pay them, individually, in the private sector. At that level, when you have a lousey business, you don't get customers.

Money being the driving factor, the almighty one who lies, is lieing again. We need no second party handing out of "health care". The crooks will go away by working directly with the caregiver.

Lastly, first of all, It's illegal. There is no constitutional authority to "enact" health c,c,c,whatever it is.

Oh, and i think he sets at home and watches his self orate... and flash his lieing lids. (i hear angels...)

In keeping with what you've written here, there's a GREAT piece by Robert Samuelson in today's Washington Post at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/03/14/AR2010031401389.html?wpisrc=nl_pmopinions

In it he notes as most economists have, as well, that "Covering the uninsured is not the health-care system's major problem. The big problem is uncontrolled spending, which prices people out of the market and burdens government and business’s budgets."

I've hear no one on the Left arguing that "we must make sure everyone gets all the healthcare they need at government/taxpayer expense."

So that argument isn't even out there.

So that's NOT the reason or even "a reason" why this current Bill is so flawed. They aren't "trying to appeal to the Left," so that leaves only incompetence as the primary reason for this flaw.

If they were responding to calls for "more free care," wouldn't we constantly be hearing lots of people clamoring in the streets for MORE free care?

Fact is, the uninsured in America already receive from 60 to 70 percent of the care that the insured get, as the poor get care from hospitals, clinics and doctors, according to estimates from the Congressional Budget Office.

So "expanding care" is NOT an issue and it's NOT a fiscal option in these times.

Moreover, "greedy insurance companies" are NOT the problem. In 2009, the largest 14 insurers had profits of roughly $9 billion; that approached 0.4% of total health spending of $2.472 trillion...so insurance company profits aren't even a "part of the problem."

As Samuelson notes "What people need to know is that Obama's plan evades health care's major problems and would worsen the budget outlook." And that's undeniable as BOTH Medicare and Medicaid are not only rife with fraud, but hopelessly in debt.

Ironically enough, our "existing public option" is the largest sector of the American healthcare system that's failing.

We just went through a national epiphany on housing, in the wake of a subprime implosion driven by government regulations and programs that sought to make home ownership "a right."

Today, nobody seems to support the idea of "home ownership as a right."

Banks have gone back to restricting mortgage lending to those who can put 20% or more down, etc. without a peep of protest.

We've quietly accepted that houses are commodities, rightly sold to the highest bidder and that home ownership is NOT "a right." Many, many people should NOT own homes. Those whose homes constitute 80% or more of their "savings" SHOULD rent! No one should have that much of their savings locked into their home's equity.

Since we've accepted that reality on housing, we should be ready to accept that ALL "healthcare reform" MUST BE centered on CUTTING COSTS and that means rationing and restricting any and all government programs/plans.

So long as there's available "gap insurance" from private insurers" for those willing to pay those premiums, then "access to (at least some) care will remain available AND costs would be greatly cut.

Obviously a mispeak and the stupidity would be to infer he meant it was purposely lying.
