The Unproductive, Undead Are Coming After You...."Who Are You Gonna Call?"

I don't think ghostbusters are going to be able to stand against these power hunger zombies. H/T to JudyBright who posted this Andrew Klavin video on another site. It's entitled the night of the Living government:

"Every dollar that the government takes is one less dollar of freedom for you and one more dollar of power for them"

Not sure I've ever processed this concept in this way but the simple truth of this statement hit me like a ton of bricks. For those of us who are desirous of financial freedom, all of the new taxes we are hearing about in the "state run media" are so depressing because they move the mark (financial freedom) farther and farther away.

CBW, please remember that people don't like it when too many causative facts are presented.

Tis much more comforting to be able to say, I'm fat due eating at Mickie D's yesterday rather then look at the life style trend.

There are trends and patterns that follow many things. Our government too! But who wants to take an honest look.

I am living this hell, I do not even want to pick up my taxes and do them. We are actually contemplating limiting our income to try to control the amount of taxes we r going to have to pay. I have watched almost 300 ppl lose their independant buisnesses in transportation over the last 6 months and the rest of us are getting about 30% of what we make, where is the American Dream in that?

Exactly, BG. With the 30% you still have more taxes to pay from that in the form of gasoline tax, secretary of state, whatever you might need from Home Depo or the hardware, the purchase of a car or repair on one, permits/license for various reasons, property tax....I'm too out of breath and space for the endless list...

All these taxes are being continually tweaked in order to raise them or find new ways to keep more of the income percetage. It shouldn't be treated as 'income' anyway as it truly more of a reimbursement.

The whole nation should go on strike on the same day...that would cause a screeching wake up of those who assume they are our rulers rather then correctly being our voluntary public servents.

Speaking of public servants, I wish they had more respect and awe for the citizenry rather then the public having undue awe and respect for them.

We need not be wimps.

Today, Juneteenth commemorates the anniversary of the June 19, 1865 arrival of Union soldiers in Galveston, Texas. The soldiers delivered news that the Civil War was over and that President Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation had abolished slavery two-and-a-half years earlier.

We collectively reflect on what freedom means, its cost, and what we individually can contribute to maintain it.
