Well now I have heard it all. As I watched and twittered the State of The Black Union this evening Van Jones (idiot of the highest order) proclaimed that "The genius of Barack Obama is that he is not just the first black president he is the first green president. He is not going to just save you he is going to save THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD" and the crowd roared.
Personally I think the global warming talk is a crock of putrid steaming hot fecal matter. A synthesized issue which profiteers such as Mr. Jones and Mr. Gore are exploiting so obviously PSBO the radical leftist that he is will be all about all things green. I can understand the SOBU attendees getting excited at the prospect of "Pookie" getting a job. But Van Jones took it too far with his Barack saving you and the whole wide world comment. Yet, these same negroes standing, whistling and applauding will swear up and down that Barack is not their Messiah.
I'm going to have to file this post under "black pathology". We will fall for just about anything said if the delivery is right. Mr. Jones with all of his neck rolling and rousing verbiage convinced an auditorium full of black folks that Barack Obama was not only their personal savior but the saviour of the whole, wide world. I need to go vomit now.

Pretty sad and pretty scary....one gets the strong feeling if Obama sprouted devil horns and had 666 planted on his head, that Black and white Liberal Americans would still support this liberal lunatic...
I hope I am wrong about that but Obama seems to have some kind of demonic control that blinds his minions so to speak...creepy to be sure..
As for the global warming rubbish, even people on the left are slowly backing away from such nonsense...
With the worldwide economic crash, their is little time or money for eco nuts fantasies and lies about global warming or climate change or whatever invented term they are using ....
Devon~I agree. I used to say the PSBO couldn't be the Anti-christ because it would be too obvious and the bible says the the very elect would be fooled.
I and starting to re-think that because God's elect are being fooled. Clearly, we are wrestling not against flesh and blood but principalities in high places. Very creepy indeed.
So now its "pathological" to ask for JOBS?
Guess you want "Pookie, Ray Ray and Rob and 'nem" to get handouts eh?
lol. Seriously, just because I myself find the speaker's speaking style and delivery problematic, doesn't negate that he is utilizing the concerns of the left as a motivation for the left to work on creating jobs in urban areas. What he was doing, is clearly and plainly politics to benefit the demographic he comes from and / or represents.
@CBW:
Not to mess with you, but JMK has me in an exegetical / hermeneutical mood. You wrote:
"Devon~I agree. I used to say the PSBO couldn't be the Anti-christ because it would be too obvious and the bible says the the very elect would be fooled."
Actually, Jesus said in Mark 13.22: "For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect."
Even the ELECT "IF" it were possible. It is not possible to deceive the elect.
You also wrote: "I and starting to re-think that because God's elect are being fooled."
Again, not possible. The ELECT cannot be fooled, because the ELECT are SPIRITUALLY Led. Not led by politics or other worldly ideologies, philosophies or even theologies.
The Elect are LED by the Spirit, and therefore, know Christ so well, that they cannot be fooled by a counterfeit.
DJBA you wrote:"So now its "pathological" to ask for JOBS?"
Of course not. I wrote "I can understand the SOBU attendees getting excited at the prospect of "Pookie" getting a job.
My issue is just what I said Mr. Jones statement that PSBO is just going to save you he is going to save the whole wide world. I am certain that the ones hooping and clapping the loudest would deny that Obama is being elevated as a Messiah.
Regarding your exegesis of Mark 13.22 thank you for correcting me on that. That explains why PSBO doesn't have me fooled. I was always hesistant to call Obama supporter non-christians and now I don't have to. Their idolatry and faith in this man say it for me. Don't get me wrong I am still not asserting that to have voted for PSBO or to hope that his presidency is a success negates your chrisitanity. What I am saying is that those who idolize him and who would willing support "all things Obama" even when it goes against Christ were never really Christ's to begin with and their faith was professed but not real.
Also, DJBA Pookie and Shenaynay will most probably get jobs because there is money allocated within the budget for this. So I guess if I subscribed to the school of thought that the end justifies the means then I'd be on board too -- but I don't.
Global warming and the development of green technology is just a racket and part of the agenda of the left. Lots of pockets will be lined because of this sham (Mr. Jones being one of them) and ordinary citizens will be taxed out of the ying-yang. So green technology is a cash cow for the government and it's "green contractors". But, I should be happy because at least Pookie and Shenaynay will have jobs, right?
@CBW:

I can understand you concluding that, I just don't limit that to Obama, the smae can be and should the standard for Reagan, Clinton, Bush, McCain or whomever the man is.
In my opinion, I believe most of these politicians are not 100% in line with the Gospel of the Kingdom and have little, if any, revelation of the Fellowship of the Mystery.
@CBW:

Maybe you are right.
I am not sure about "global warming", I am skeptical about apocolyptic science from the left, as it seems to take the place of religion in their lives.
However, if they are trying to get us off middle eastern oil, I support it.
DJBA~Yes, the same standard should be set for any politician. But never in my life have I seen the media refuse to challenge, question, or look critically at a political figure as I have seen with Pres. Obama. There is something different at play here.
Also, it's not about politicians being 100% in line with the Gospel -- it's about God's people replacing Christ with Obama. It's looking to a man for that which only Christ can give.
This is the first time I have seen (granted it may have happened with MLK, Jr but I was too young)christians seek "secular salvation".
So now its "pathological" to ask for JOBS?
DJ Adam:
As I tried to hold on to my sanity as I sat through a "single payer health care" symposium this week I heard so much of this scheme justified via the promise of JOBS!! (Funny how a "Sex Slaves in the USA" documentary attracted girls from the former Soviet Bloc nations to the USA on the promise of JOBS as well. We all know what they have to do every night after choosing to believe their smooth talking sponsors).
DJ Adam - do you ever stop and think about the present employment in the CARBON BASED FUELS sector? Do you believe that the promise of these "Green Jobs" are going to see us retain these "Carbon jobs" and then create NEW jobs?
Basic economics tells me that if this is to be so that the Green Energy would have to be MORE EXPENSIVE than what we are paying now in order to result in MORE JOBS. This would be the jobs maintained by "evil polluters" who come in from the dark side and then NET NEWLY CREATED JOBS on top of those.
Are you proclaiming that you ACTUALLY BELIEVE THIS hooey?
@conservativefeedback:
You wrote: "DJ Adam - do you ever stop and think about the present employment in the CARBON BASED FUELS sector?"
I think about that, and I also think about the long term price that we and our children and children's children will pay, if we continue to funnel billions of dollars each year to the Islamic world and the cost of the wars we are fighting and will have to fight to keep that part of the world stable.
We are held hostage by our dependency on that oil, we should be using all of our abilities to change that.
If the left wanted us off Middle Eastern oil, they wouldn't get in the way every time someone wanted to drill in our own country.
Also, for those who still claim that Obamamania is no stronger than that Bush mania that took over the world 8 years ago, I just saw a bin of Obama posters at Wal Mart tonight.
So I guess I'll take down the huge pinup I have of W and replace it with my new Obama poster.
CBW, I wouldn't go so far as to say that Obama is the anti christ because I feel the same way you do....I tend to think it will be someone more behind the scenes..more subtle..
Lets face it, people have been labeling U.S. Presidents since FDR and upto the present as the anti christ...I remember in the 80's that some believe Reagan was because his name, Ronald Wilson Reagan, corresponded to 666...
Of course back in the 30's people rightly and understandbly thought Hitler or Missolini were perhaps the evil one..
I will say this...I have never in my political life ever seen a man worshiped like Obama...and blindly so...it is dangerous and creepy....even when Reagan won his first term, that was mild compared to what I am seeing nowadays...
When the deceiver does come on the scene, one can now see how he will garner blind worship..
If Obama has taught us anything, it is that people will willingly throw away any discernment for the promises of bread and butter...

You wrote: "If the left wanted us off Middle Eastern oil, they wouldn't get in the way every time someone wanted to drill in our own country."
I agree, I think the left needs to get out of the way of drilling here, and the right needs to get out of the way of agressively developing alternatives to fossil fuels.
And as for "obamania" good lord people, the first Black president in the United States of America is bound to play better for marketing purposes than the dumbest president of the United States...basic capitalism, you all should be thrilled...
@Devon:
"If Obama has taught us anything, it is that people will willingly throw away any discernment for the promises of bread and butter..."
AND If THE RIGHT has taught us anything, it is that people will willingly throw away any discernment for the faux promises of banning gay marriage...
Well DJ, when you find a candidate that will actually stand against gay marriage and abortion et al, then I will gladly vote for them...these are the domestic issues of our day...just as being an abolitionist in 1860 was....now it is the life of the unborn and the attack on the sanctity of marriage..
It doesn't help that we have the most radical left wing President in power that supports the gay and abortion industries...
@Devon:
"Well DJ, when you find a candidate that will actually stand against gay marriage and abortion et al, then I will gladly vote for them...these are the domestic issues of our day...just as being an abolitionist in 1860 was...."
O.K., the abortion thing I can at least understand, but how you give an eqivalence of two grown individuals getting married or civil union or whatever to people enslaving, raping, using and abusing other human beings is beyond me...
CBW,
I definitely agree with your comments esp on this latest entry. I am so excited to read your comments now that I've found your blog. I can't wait for my husband to get home so I can share the latest. ;) By the way, I know Obama couldn't be the anti-Christ but if he "dies" and "miraculously" comes back to life, then I'll think twice. lol!
I absolutely can't believe how he can do no wrong in the eyes of so many esp. some blacks AND those claiming to be Christians. And you're right to say that when you even hint that certain people may be making this man out to be the Savior, there is vehement denial on their part. His stance on abortion alone is ridiculous and he claims to be a Christian?!
The fact that he has one set of rules to abide by and everyone else has another just floors me. Not to mention that if you're black and question him, you're a sell-out and if you're white and question him, you're racist. So, I guess we're all supposed to just shut up because he has ALL the answers to all of man's problems and we just don't see it yet.
The man's statements are always so vague, he flip flops his views at times depending on what audience he has, this SPendulus package is CRAZY, and his restructuring of faith based funding will prove to be very problematic in the long run.
I wanted to be so happy for and supportive of our first black President, but he's not exactly what I had in mind. smh
UTS~Ask Van Jones if he thinks he is George Jefferson...he is the one who spoke of Pookie, Shenaynay and Ray-Ray by the way.
Perhaps you should watch Mr. Van's rant on CSpan before you blow a gasket.

Hey WhiteBowieSteve:
I just learned that recently a SECOND Black inmate has died while in the custody of the Prince Georges County jail system.
Can you tell me when the PROTESTS against the 100% Democratic government will start? I will fly up so that I can see this with my own eyes - first hand.
Inmate found dead in cell at county jail
http://www.gazette.net/stories/02262009/largnew172100_32474.shtml
Its funny how the same people who always see a "Lynching" when a "White jail" is involved show little "intellectual curiosity" in their desire to go beyond what their DEMOCRATIC ELECTED OFFICIALS tell them in regards to how the BLACK PRISONER has died while in their custody.
Today a Black man's wellbeing is at greater risk living in a Democratic dominated area than in a Republican area. The THUGS are merciless, knowing that their defenders don't see them as an equal threat to that of racist Whites. This despite the fact that there is always a "dead negro" at the end of both scenarios.
"Its funny how the same people who always see a "Lynching" when a "White jail" is involved"
Example of the protests please.
Can I ask you a question?
Do you get paid for pleading white folks' case?
Oh give me a break CBW.
If you are free from "groupthink", why is it that you black righties don't have the guts to go on black liberal blogs or predominately black forums and debate or make your case?
You travel in small packs of opportunists and hustlers or mass on certain blogs and try to shout down or scare away opposition.
You're not "free" from anything.
You still have the slave mentality.
You think you're "special" because you think like conservative white people which makes you diametrically different from the typical black person.
If you black righties could convince us that conservatism is going to improve our lives or the condition of the nation as well, we'd be all ears.
But you don't do that (or can't because conservatism is obviously a failure).
What you do is rant about how we're stuck on some ideological plantation (lol!) while you support an ideology that doesn't even acknowledge your humanity.
"You might want to do a little self reflection before you start calling out the black conservatives for their social "ailments""
JE-SUZ!!!!!
All you black righties do is call out 90% of the rest of us for our "ailments"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All the while grinning and performing for people who wouldn't eat at the same table as you.
Do you read JMK's posts????
The man is an out and out RACIST but I bet you think he's a "great guy".
Sad.
"If you are free from "groupthink", why is it that you black righties don't have the guts to go on black liberal blogs or predominately black forums and debate or make your case?
I am honestly bored by you guys. It's the same old dookey that I've heard all my life and it is TIRED! You racism chaser are very unhappy people and complaining about the ills of white folks in some sick way makes you feel better-- ya'll are certifiably pathological! The difference between you and I is that I am who I am and I don't give a darn people think about me -- black, white, brown, or red people. I need the love and favor of the Lord and my family -- beyond that it's nice to be loved by friends but I'm not so starved for it that I feel the need to compromise my integrity. So if someone doesn't want to break bread with me -- oh well, their loss. And regarding my humanity-- pahleez that is too stupid to even respond to.
I have in the past left comments on liberal black blogs but it's pointless. Most of the commenter on said blogs are happy in their malcontent. So, more power to them. I have my own blog and so I will just contend for my faith and my points of view here.
Not sure how you have deduced that JMK is an out and out racist-- I haven't found that to be the case. But, you my friend wouldn't win the humanitarian of the year award and I think it's hilarious that you of all people could fix your mouth to call someone racist! -- Oh, wait I remember according to Cathy Hughes , Dick Gregory and WOL back in the day "It's impossible for black folks t be racist" right? Again, I say pathetic!!!!!!!
CBW,
You can't get past the cliches.
When have you heard me complain about white people?
What I don't like is how you black righties incessantly demonize your OWN PEOPLE, offer no solutions for the problems of the inner city poor, constantly smear the entire black community with the sins of a distinct minority and make pathetic excuses for white racists who hate you as much as they hate the rest of us.
"Not sure how you have deduced that JMK is an out and out racist-- I haven't found that to be the case."
Pathetic.
In the last week since I've been exposed to the clown he has done nothing but spew his anti-black hatred all over this board.
"But, you my friend wouldn't win the humanitarian of the year award and I think it's hilarious that you of all people could fix your mouth to call someone racist! -- Oh, wait I remember according to Cathy Hughes , Dick Gregory and WOL back in the day "It's impossible for black folks t be racist" right? Again, I say pathetic!!!!!!!"
This is really sad.
I'm mean SAD. You'll make excuse for a ranting white bigot like JMK but attempt to call ME a racist.
I'll tell you what CBW.
If you can post a racist remark from me, let's say similar
to this bull$hit from JMK.........
"American-born blacks reviled those lighter and darker than themselves, they reviled black immigrants from Africa and the Carribean for "acting white" (studying hard and not speaking in street slang)."
....and I will leave this board forever.
"American-born blacks reviled those lighter and darker than themselves, they reviled black immigrants from Africa and the Carribean for "acting white" (studying hard and not speaking in street slang)."
That's not racist that's true. I can write a book about those in my very own family who are "color struck". My grandparents (sadly) were given instructions by their parents (my paternal great-grandparents) that they were not to bring home persons too dark.
Leaving this board forever is your choice and you will be sorely missed.
Tootles UTS!

WhiteBowieSteve:
I AM NOT A REPUBLICAN.
The present problems with the Republican Party has 0.00% impact on me.
My goal is to PUSH THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY OUT OF THE RACIAL NUCLEUS OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY so that they will be forced to DELIVER FOR OUR COMMUNITY.
It is rather ironic that an increasing number of Black Flight Progressives are departing their Democratic strongholds to live in my CONSERVATIVE county - despite the issues with the national Republicans.
I wonder why Steve bypassed the dead Black guy in the PGC jail?
"I wonder why Steve bypassed the dead Black guy in the PGC jail?"
LOL, UTS is having a rough day today.
CF
If you're not a Republican why do you spend so much time kissing Republican a$$?
And your remarks about the PG County jail are irrelevant.
What would you like me to do?
I asked you for an example of blacks protesting a "white" jail and ignoring a "black" one whatever the hell that is?
What is it with you man?
Why do you hate your own people so much?
Did you get beat up a lot as a child?
BTW CF since you're so concerned about PG County all of a sudden, any thoughts about this?
Two white cops lie about a black suspect assaulting them when the video reveals otherwise.

Thanks for being honest CBW.
I don't get this ethnocentricity at all.
My Dad's side of the family is of Irish descent. They came over in the midst of the "Potato Famine" and the start of America's Civil War.
The stereotype of the Irish is a bunch of drunken brawlers. Like most stereotypes, there's quite a bit of truth to that.
In Honesdale PA. the community was long primarily German and Irish and they mined and dug the canals...the Irish were so rowdy there, that the German majority refused to let the Catholic Church be built within city limits, because there were so many incidents of drunkeness and fighting after a Satruday night's "festivities."
My paternal grandfather grew up without a father, in his mind, entirely because of "demon drink." His Dad's uncle was a 6' 8" dock foreman in the days when you reached that level by beating the other guy (the former foreman) up and tossing him off the pier in triumph. He also worked for Tammany Hall as a "Ward Boss" both "getting out the vote" (by force if necessary) and making sure people "voted the right way" (again, often by "cracking heads"). Needless to say, that uncle also happened to be a big drinker and an ornery drunk. His tossing my great-grandfater down a flight of stairs in a drunken rage, resulted in great-grand dad leaving the house and his family and as a result, my grandfater grew up fatherless and against ANY alcohol being kept in his home.
My father rarely drank, as do I, but that stereotype still fits many and blaming the stereotype on ethnic bigotry is the excuse that people who don't want to solve their own problems always fall to.
You have to see your own problems before you can do anything about them and before you can see them, you really have to look at them.
What ethnocentrists like UTS and those of Irish descent who choose to think of over-imbibing as a "BS stereotype propigated by those who hate the Irish", have in common, is that they wrongly think that looking at their own group's problems will "shame them in front of others."
Nonsense! EVERY group has its general problems and every individual does too (some coinciding with those predominant in their ethnicity and others not)....some choose to look hard and try to overcome their problems, others don't....and THAT'S the only difference.
I don't understand why some people are so offended by human weakness, especially given that it's so universal.

I'm honest UTS....about everything.
I had a track coach in HS. We had 22 guys under 2 minutes for the half mile....we did great in the distance events (1/2 mile and up) and the relays, because we could pack the relays with runners - a 1200 student all boys Catholic schools.
That coach used to say, "If I could have some of the sprinters from Boys and Girls HS (Brooklyn) and Andrew Jackson (an inner city Queens HS), I'd win the Eastern States and the Golden West Meets every year.
He was honest, not "racist," despite his acknowledging some obvious racial/ethnic differences.
predmoinantly black schools did better in the sprints and predominantly white schools did better in the distance events.
That coach was right, despite the many exceptions (Ray N from Power Memorial...a black 1/2 miler under two) and Larry C of New Dorp HS who ran one of the fastest HS quarter miles at the time at 48.6 seconds and Steve J a high jumper from New Dorp, who jumped over 7' in HS and was on the 1976 Olympic team in Montreal.
You're an ethnocentric coward UTS, that's why you have a problem with "right-wingers" of any background. Those who'd view black conservatives as "race-traitors", are pretty much akin to those whites who populate groups like the KKK - anyone who doesn't think like they do is a "racist" in THEIR minds.

Actually, I've NEVER seen CBW EVER discuss a porblem WITHOUT offering a solution to it....it's just that they're not solutions YOU'D like.

The officers are being investigated over the now dropped assault charges, BUT nothing they did on that video was wrong.
The motorist has an obligation to comply with the police.
If you believe you're wrongly being ticketed, the street isn't the venue to deal with that issue.
he refused to comply, the officers had to force compliance from him and he was engaged in a serious crime - having emergency lights mounted in his car.
Hmmmm....why do people improperly mount emergency lights in their own cars?
What could POSSIBLY be the reason???
Oh yeah! Of course, so they can impersonate the police.
That SHOULD HAVE CARRIED a much more sever penalty that a desk appearance ticket and $50 fine.
CLARIFICATION: That coach used to say, "If I could have some of the sprinters from Boys and Girls HS (Brooklyn) and Andrew Jackson (an inner city Queens HS) and my distance runners, I'd win the Eastern States and the Golden West Meets every year."
I don't think you are a conservative black woman. I think you are a racist white man and that is a picture of a prostitute that you hired.
I have only heard white supremists speak the way you do. It's racist of me to assume this, but I'm right aren't I?
WoW! Why does your blog, which is always temperate, deliberate and based in common sense, and hardly ever at all contoversial or confrontational, bring out the worst in liberals?
It's as though some folks think all women, members of any minority group, or anyone poor BELONGS TO or, at least ON the liberal plantation.
Who are these new overseers?
"I don't think you are a conservative black woman. I think you are a racist white man and that is a picture of a prostitute that you hired. (Kate)
OH NO you DIT-ENT!!! But on a serious note, this one had it all, churlishness, childishness, goofiness and, as they say up Bah-stin, "some wicked bad mean-spiritedness." That's some really wild, whacky stuff. I'm guessing this probably sounded a lot better when you were boxed.

"If negroes disappeared right now the world wouldn't loose any sleep. So stop arguing with each other of the whitemans political parties. In case you forgot were started for him and his. You just happened to stick around longer than he thought you would." (anonymous)
Well, true enough in that, "If the human race disappeared tomorrow the world wouldn't lose any sleep over it." The world/planet doesn't lose much sleep over anything. As for racial groups, the same could be said about any ethnic group - "If Asians disappeared tomorrow, the rest of the world (or even, more aptly, "the world's population") wouldn't lose any sleep over it." Which is probably true enough....as there probably wouldn't be anything they could do about it....and they'd probably be pretty occupied trying to keep themselves from suffering the very same fate. Hmmmm, in total, hardly a compelling or even a very unifying point. I'm guessing that this also sounded a whole lot better, not to mention more convincing, in an inebriated state.
@JMK~You write:
"WoW! Why does your blog, which is always temperate, deliberate and based in common sense, and hardly ever at all contoversial or confrontational, bring out the worst in liberals?"
Isn't it amazing! These blog threads serve as a veritable petrie dish of liberal bigotry, hypocrisy, and vileness. They hate it when like you said blacks, women or poor folk are too uppity to allow them to think for us.
It does seem that anger, insults and ad hominum are the primary and usual responses from the Left.
I had a number of ardently Leftist (actually socialist) Professors in College, today, only one remains unshaken in his childlike faith in that viewpoint.
I've stayed in contact with many of them through the years, and even the last remaining socialist (most of the others have acceded that the Command/government-run economy cannot produce as much prosperity as the market economy) remains civil....often foolish, but civil.
I once said, "Look, if wealth were static and the economy were a zero sum game, then economic redistribution and government control would be justified, but it's not," to which he replied "It IS a zero sum game, in that there is only a fixed amount of currency in circulation t any one time, the more person A gloms, the less available to persons B and C."
Oh, and to any budding leftists/liberals/socialists out there who think that THAT'S a good answer, no, it's a wrong answer.
Currency is only one portion of the huge pie we call wealth and the currency in circulation is always expanding and contracting, with the prevailing economic parameters as well. The fallacy that “currency = the sum of all wealth,” is the same fallacy that goes "income = wealth." Again, income is only ONE small indicator of wealth and is actually the LEAST effective means of amassing wealth.
The top 1% of income earners in the U.S. and the top 1% of the wealthiest Americans are TWO DISTINCT groups, with very little, if any cross-over. The truly wealthy do not rely on income for much, if any of their wealth.
When a Bill Gates starts a company like MS and makes BILLIONS for himself, (1) he's created untold new opportunities for other like-minded entrepreneurs and (2) produced hundreds of BILLIONS of dollars in value to others along the way.
Not only has Bill Gates amassing BILLIONS NOT harmed others, it has helped everyone else, either through expanded opportunities, previously unavailable conveniences or direct charitable contributions.
Today, in the U.S. the top 10% of income earners (which starts at around $109,000/year pay over 70% of all income taxes, while they constitute appx 40% of the aggregate annual wages in the U.S.
They paid appx 64% of all income taxes BEFORE the Bush across-the-board tax cuts.
The reason for that is the same reason that tax rate INCREASES always DECREASE revenues. When tax rates are LOWERED more higher income earners take MORE of their income non-deferred, thus paying MORE in taxes, likewise when those rates RISE, they are incentivized to SAVE, to defer MORE of their wages in tax-deferred vehicles and thus they pay LESS in taxes by exposing LESS of their incomes...and thee are the people with the most disposable incomes, and the greatest ability to defer income.
The easiest people to tax, is sadly the group with the most exposure and the least ability to defer their tax bite and that is those earning between $30,000 and $105,000 per year....that's where the bulk (about 60%) of the aggregate annual U.S. income is located.
Those are the people without accountants, without lobbyists and without the strategies to avoid getting soaked by tax increases...and that's why calls for "tax the rich" always soaks these folks he most.
That professor couldn't refute that, he just feels it unjust that "the system allows the richest 10% to shield themselves like that."
Yeah, I wish it'd rain root-beer as well.
Fact is some skills are simply worth a LOT more than others. A physician, for instance, IS worth more than 25 math teachers, 23 cops, 27 firefighters or 21 long-haul truckers. Entrepreneurial skills can be worth far more, or nothing at all, depending on the value produced by that entrepreneur. Person A amassing BILLIONS does nothing to harm persons B and C, let alone D thru Z, but a single rogue politician or head of state (ie Zimbabwe's Mugabe) could inflict untold misery on millions.
No wonder most liberals can't respond in any other way, most of them aren't College professors stuck in the economic Paleolithic period.
JMK~Valiant effort but I'm sure I don't have to tell you liberals don't let facts get in the way of their ideology.
The drones don't respond to anything except raw emotionalism and it's best absorbed by them if attached to a grievance.
The liberal elites have really done a number on this society and it's only getting worse. I wonder if re-education is possible since government schools are complicit in the indoctrination process.
Yes Robin, you're right that the vast majority of liberals and leftists of all stripes are emotional thinkers....they "emote" rather than analyze data.
But the facts ARE what they ARE.
I've at times wished it'd rain root beer as well, but the facts are what they are.
Just as some houses are worth $16 million and others worth barely $60,000, some skills are simply worth far more than others. There's NOTHING innately "unfair" about any of that, nor the fact that a well-presented or "staged" home will usually sell faster and for more money than an equivalent property that does not present as well.
These are all things indicative of our individual differences and they highlight the wonder and splendor of our wide range of individual differences.
Will stubborn facts convince or convert the emoticons?
Probably not right away, but the brightest among them, the most curious, will eventually be washed up on the shores of those facts.
Ronald Reagan was an ardent Democrat and a JFK supporter. David Horowitz (of Frontpage) was a far-Left hippie and wrote for Ramparts (a Left-wing revolutionary mag) in the 1960s.
